This course is aimed at the designers who want to design and develop casting meeting industry standards and business needs. This foundation course  uses  case studies and real life examples to teach different aspects of Casting technology including Casting Types, Processes, Design requirements, manufacture ability and operational considerations etc. This will enable a designer to design cost effective products meeting operational, manufacturing requirements.

2. Surface Design using Creo 2.0

Duration: 16 Hrs.

The Surface design course teaches design of complex surfaces using advanced surface modelling techniques.

The course will cover following topics:

  2. Creating Basic Surface
  3. Creating Curves Using Intersect, Project Wrap, Through points, and Equations
  4. Offset Curves and Surface
  5. Boundary Blend Surface
  6. Variable Section sweep surface
  7. Swept Blends
  8. Modify Surface and Curves (Trim, Merge)
  9. Analysis Of surface
  10. Converting to Solid (Thicken, Solidify)
  11. Editing Solids using Surfaces

3. Design of Castings using Creo 2.0

Duration: 12 Hrs.

This module provides training  on features and techniques needed for detailed modelling of castings using Creo 2.0. This include techniques to model castings with appropriate drafts, complex split lines, fillets,  extract Cores and extend the model into machined parts.

The course will cover following topics:

  1. Drafts
  2. Analysis of Castings
  3. Casting modeling techniques for complex parts
  4. Extraction of cores and cavities
  5. Extending the Cast part into Associated Machined parts
