CMS students have access to best-in-class Training materials, Curricula, eLearning system and coaching from highly trained and certified instructors.
CATIA V5 Electrical Design Engineer Training course offers a solution to formulate the design and manufacturing of electrical systems spanning the complete process from conceptual design through to manufacturing. Capabilities include requirements capture, electrical schematic definition, interactive 3D routing of both wire harnesses and industrial cable solutions through to the production of detailed manufacturing documents including form boards.
This course will teach you how to create electrical assemblies, route multi-branchables, route wires, and create drawings of the electrical harness assemblies. This course will teach you how to create an Electrical Components Catalog. You will learn how to design harnesses, create bundle segments and connect them to electrical components. You will also learn how to manage the branch points, protections and links, and how to perform knowledge checks. This course will teach you how to use the Electrical Wire Routing workbench to route signals and create wires using a harness and a functional definition. You will also learn how to integrate external tools with CATIA’s electrical products. This course will also teach you how to use the Electrical Harness Flattening workbench to extract, flatten and synchronize an electrical / geometrical harness. You will learn how to manipulate the flattened harness and how to define and generate a harness flattening report. You will also learn how to use text templates to create an annotated and dimensioned 2D drawing of a 3D harness.
Students attending this course should be familiar with the fundamentals of CATIA V5. They should know how to use the Part Design, Assembly Design and Drafting workbenches.
